Afternoon
12:30 – 1:00: Walk the gentle Shore Path, admiring the gorgeous wall of Beach Roses (July-August) near the end of the short trail. Turn around at the end and return to Agamont Park; or continue on along the loop back through Town.
Have lunch in Town at Epi’s or Thirsty Whale.
2:00 – 3:00: Walk or bike the Carriage Road along Eagle Lake. You’ll walk or bike as far as you want, then turn around and return to the parking lot. A short trip is fun; going all the way around the lake would be quite long and a bore!
3:30 – 4:15: Tour Wild Iris Farm. (You must reserve your tour in advance). Enjoy meeting the chickens, goats, and above all, their magnificent Shire draft horses. You can even schedule a lesson in driving one of these gorgeous horses! Click here to see them in action!
4:30 – 6:30: Enjoy the Village Green, winner of *; explore the shops in Town; visit the Library or the Abbe Museum (a branch of the Smithstonian).
The Village Green
Evening
Dinner in Town or back home.
After dinner, walk up and back Sols Cliff Road (especially if you have a dog with you!); enjoy the early evening stars.
If you’re up late, by all means go out in the driveway and watch the stars when they’re filling the sky! Maine has little light pollution, so star-gazing is a special treat!
