Work
Nowadays, we know that vacationers often have to mix work (a little or a lot) with their recreation. We work here whenever we’re here, and so we designed our home to have the most technologically advanced support systems:
Our cellular reception (especially Verizon) is very good for MDI, but there are a few spots in the house or outside where, despite our signal booster, service can be iffy. Every room (except for bathrooms) is connected to the house-wide high speed wired network, and has two Cat 5 network outlets into which you can plug your computer (or other audio/visual or electronic devices benefitting from high-speed, dependable internet wired network). In addition, we have high-speed WiFi supported by the central modem. Based on your preferences, before your arrival we’ll set up a mini-office in one of the bedrooms. It includes a desk and chair; land-line telephone with headset; computer monitor; printer; mouse; keyboard; and USB cables for your computer or cell phone. You are welcome to use our land-line telephones for unlimited outbound calling throughout the USA, with no charge. Best of all, if you should run into work-related tension, simply get up from your desk and look out your window at Frenchman’s Bay or the Gulf of Maine… |
